BIG board game girlie over here so let’s talk board game organization. (Watch my Instagram reel on this topic by clicking the image below!)

If you’re like me and some of your board game boxes are starting to fall apart or maybe you simply want a more streamlined look for your game collection, I have a solution for you that I’m loving for my own collection.

First things first – EDIT. Let go of games you never play and games with broken or missing pieces. Keep the games you love and actually use.

Now that you’ve paired down your games, take inventory. Figure out how many new storage containers you’ll need and in what sizes.

I chose to go with clear latching containers from Amazon. I got them in 8.5 x 11 and 6 x 6 and they worked perfectly for my games. I also got smaller containers for my decks of cards and other tiny games. (As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.)

Then add clear labels to the containers. I chose to do consistent labels but you could always cut out the names from the boxes and paste them on your containers if you prefer that look.

Finally, store your games all together in a place that is easily accessible and allows you to see every game in one quick glance. Remember, if you can’t see it chances are you will forget it’s there and won’t use it!

Happy gaming!
