Raise your hand if you’ve been personally victimized by your cord collection! 🙋🏻♀️

There are so many ways to organize your cord collection, but as always the first step is to gather up every single cord in your home (even the ones that are plugged in!) into one big pile and get to work on your edit.
Create mini piles of like cords and be sure both ends are the same in each pile. Take inventory of how many of each type of cord you own.
Then ask yourself how many of the same cord do I actually need? So many cords these days are universal and work for multiple products in your home, so if you’re not charging those products every single day at the same time, you don’t need 20, 30, 100+ of each type of cord. Let go of the excess and pair down your collection to only what’s necessary.
I have a charging station for the products I use on a daily basis, but for my extra cords I love this storage container (that’s actually a photo storage container). If I have a few of the same type of cord I just put them all in one of these 4×6 containers and then label the top of each with the type of cord and what device(s) they go to.
I also like to wrap my cords with little rubber bands as I’ve found this is the easiest way to wrangle the cords instead of using cord wraps.

PS: If you want to be extra like me you can go as far as to label your charging blocks and cords with your initials so no one in your household can ever claim its their cord again! 🙂
Happy organizing!
